Virtual Cards
virtual cards (when it is finished), is a virtual deck of cards for the palm. You can play any card game you want. I am currently working on version 1.0 but I have the earlier versions posted here so you can get a taste of what's to come. I will release 1.0 and future versions on Handango.
I came up with virtual cards because I realized that all existing palm card games are limited to only the game that they have programmed in. I realized that it was possible to create a program that was not limited to only one card game.
Now that I'm working on Smart MP3 Manager, I must split my time between the two projects. The end result is that 1.0 is further off.

0.7
- First somewhat usable version. Still not really useful, considering not all 52 cards are implemented but it's close.
-
0.8
- Now we're talking. All cards are implemented. Pretty minimal though, there's no way to flip them over or get rid of them.

0.9
-
Still in progress, should be out by Friday. This version will allow you to flip cards over.
I made the deadline! Version 0.9 is out. There still is a small issue with the backs of the cards when they are flipped over but it kinda works.

0.9.1
-
It's going to need an icon if it's going to be released to the general public, right?
Released! Both a B&W and a color icon. In the process though, I discovered that my app name was too long.
-
0.9.2
- Let's make the red cards actually red, what a concept! Released 7/14/03.
- 0.9.3
- Let's fix that stupid card back image issue.
In the process of working on 0.9.3, I've found a pretty bad bug. If you flip over two cards, then flip them back up in the same order, it won't work. In reverse order, it works. I am struggling to figure out what's wrong and will hopefully figure it out someday.
- 0.10
- What about getting some of those cards off of the screen?
- 1.0
- QC Check. Things like the app name being too long.
- 1.0.1
- What if you want to save a game and come back? Here's your answer.
- 1.0.2
- For those of you with older handhelds, this release will try to be as backwards-compatible as possible.
- 1.1
- IR capability, so you can play with somebody else who has a palm.
- 1.1.1
- Full IR support. Things like using two handhelds to double the space.
- 1.2
- Now you can have a hand, maybe a few other things two.
There's more, but I don't feel like posting them, 11 releases into the future is pretty far.
