A typical day at my school

9:00 to 9:55
First class. This changes from day to day.
10:10 to 10:50
Math, except for Fridays. Our math teacher is actually the 5th grade teacher but she teaches math for the seventh grade.
11:15 to 12:00
Third class. This changes but for much of the year, it's choice time. Choice is a two or three week elective. It is really fun and doesn't really constitute class except that it is educational.
12:00 to 1:00
Lunch is in effect, the longest recess of the day. It only takes approximately half an hour to eat lunch and then you have the rest for recess. Usually, during lunch, people hang out with their friends and talk.
1:00 to 1:30
This is the last actual class time of the day. It varies quite a bit from day to day. Often, kids show up late to this class time because they lose track of time at lunch.
1:30 to 2:30
This time is for activities. Activities are different rooms you can go to and do different things. The activities are Woodshop, Weaving, Clay, Library, P.E., Jewlery, Art, and Science. I almost always go to science but it is only open on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. each activity has a teacher who helps the kids with what they're doing but primarily the kids do it all.
2:30 to 2:45
Workjobs is when all the kids from kindergarten to eighth grade cleanup their classrooms and the activities rooms. Everybody has a specific assigned job that they pick based on some system that is different for each class. My workjob is usually loft, meaning I clean up the loft of our classroom. it's one of the easiest workjobs.
2:45 to 3:00
Most classrooms have a meeting time at this time. During meeting, the teacher mentions anything they need to, and then often reads a book aloud. School ends at 3:00.
