Palm III ReviewComplaintsMy biggest complaint about my palm is memory. It only has 2 Megs of RAM and I'm always deleting useful apps to make room for new ones. I survive with only 2 megs but it's uncomfortable. My next complaint weight, I keep it in my pocket and when I run, it bangs around. Size is also an issue because it doesn't quite fit comfortably in my hand. ProsThe biggest advantage of the Palm III is price. If you go on eBay, they cost about $30. The only real reason I have a Palm II instead of something better is because it basically fell into my lap. The Palm III was well designed and does almost everything I want it to do. It makes a great basic PIM along with a few games and other apps. Must-have appsI got my Palm III around June 2002 as a hand-me-down from my mom who didn't use it. I immediately started loading it up with apps like Fitaly 2.0, Space Trader, and Documents To Go. Fitaly is exteremely important to me because it allows me to enter text at about 30 WPM, an unthinkable feat in Graffiti. Documents To Go and Space Trader along with the base apps constitute about 70% of my usage. |
